So I'm building a water bridge! I received the first of the supplies in the mail today! They include:
5' of 6" Clear PVC
4 Oz. Clear PVC Primer
16 Oz. Clear PVC Cement
2 x 6" 90 Degree PVC Elbows
1/2" PVC Heavyweight Bulkhead
2 x 1/2" Steel Nipple
1/2" Shutoff Valve
1/2" to 1/4" Reducer

I've got a vacuum pump coming in the mail currently! I just need to get a bigger hacksaw (6" PVC is huge!), a drill bit to cut the hole for the bulkhead, some thread lock, and a 1/4" hose to connect the reducer to the pump. Then it's just a mtter of connecting x to y to z :) I still don't know how I'm going to support it, nor how I'm going to provide lighting and whatnot, but I'm on my way!!

Below is the picture of the original tanks:

arnt u the one with tubes inside ur puffer tank!...now ur going to do more funky stuff... :kana: ...damn..that is wut i wanted to do... :X

Yep, I'm the one :p This is a huge upscale when compared to the puffer tank project. I'm estimating it's going to end up costing about $200 U.S. A fun project though! And I'm hoping it will greatly expand my severum's domain. Those guys need their space!! I should have more to report in the next day or so (I never made it to the hardware store, thunderstorms caused me to stay in and play poker instead). I'll keep you guys posted :D

All I have to say is "WHEW!!" I need to get some more power tools! I've done my preliminary assembly after getting a few more parts. I have to say it went pretty damn smoothly, particularly since this is the first time I've done any of this stuff. Check out the assembly

I'm still waiting for the pump to come in the mail.

And a note to other DIYs out there, wear gloves if you're using thread lock. I can't stress that enough.
