After taking a whopping 13 days to do my fishless cycle I have now got 3 little juvy blue rainbows called Red (male) Treacle and Honey (Females). Check out the pics.

I've also had to change the planting in my tank for various reasons, let me know what you think

In this one - 2 females are at the front and the male is in the back ground

Wow...they are so pretty!
I think they tank looks great too.

lol, I love the last picture. :D

awwwww how cute
are they still colouring up? cant see much blue lol

also does anyone know how easy it is to breed rainbows i have a male and female red rainbow
and would like to breed them as they are pretty :p

They have about another cm to grow before the colouring develops fully.

They have blue on their back and by their tails, but difficult to take pictures as you can only see them in certain lights. I will figure out how though

As for breeding I found that these are useful site with lots of information specifically on rainbows.

They are cuties

The male was displaying to the females for most of last night, what a spectacular sight. I tried to get a video clip but they went all shy.

Poor little bloke though, whilst I was watching he did all that work and still didn't pull - LOL maybe he got lucky when the lights went out.

Some more pics of my babies - I now have 3 variegated platies and 2 dwarf otocinclus - pictures to follow in a couple of days

The 2 females

........ and the females again, male is a bit camera shy.

Somone has suggested taking video clips and taking a snap shot of a freeze frame, has anyone ever tried and tested this method and are there any suggestions for software that will do this.
