Nice tank lucky! Are you able to keep the java in check or does it take over now and then?

Hi sorrel, lucky is my dad, and lets just say that all my Java fern came from his tank, so it's in check

Thank you Sorrel .
Once that java fern starts growing well it really goes , the java moss is worse [ IMO]. I started with like 3 small plants about 7 years ago. If you look at dwarfs sig [ he moved his tank list ] you'll see he has it in all 8 or 9 of his tanks , and in my 2. Heavily planted , the fish seem to like it .


WOW that flash makes my tank look filthy , Oh well .

you mean the flower pots , don't you ?


I'll have to see if I can get my son to take some pics of my fish [ they're kinda small ].

And a better pic of the tank .

Why do so many people keep flower pots in their fish tank? I don't have much experience with cichilds or bettas, does it act like a breeding spot or do fish like it? Tank looks great though!

That's the idea , some of my fish just use them to hang out in for a little while then move on .

Eventually the plants will grow in and cover most if not all of the pots . The fish will still be able to get in .
