I am looking for a very fine black aquarium gravel, about 1-2mm!) but none of my lfs's sell it or can get hold of it! Do any of you know anywhere online to buy it? or the name of a brand that makes such a gravel, or a manufacturers web site even?

Thanks

I got mine from a place called Buckingham aquatics (01280 827927). They might post some to you all at the very least tell you a manufacturer etc.

Ok, I got some gravel now, but its actually glass lol I get it strait from the manufacturer, Trilcot

Where in Derbyshire are you?? I'm on the border between Derbyshire and Sheffield. I got fine black gravel in Sheffield. Pets at Home in Chesterfield also have it but it is expensive. I know you have some already though now. Which shops do you use?? Maybe we can swap notes!

I'm in derby mate, this is the stuff that pets at home sell...kinda lol I went to pets at home and they only had those silly little tubs, so i got the make of the gravel, found the manufacturers website, www.trilcot.com if anyone's interested, and then found where it is located, in boston (yes its far away lol), then got my dad to go down and get me a couple of the big 25kg bags :p

Are you sure that wont cut your fishes mouths? It looks like the same stuff I was thinking of buying until I talked with the guy at the store and he told me you cant use it if you have bottom feeders because it will in fact cut their mouths :/

I ended up buying black gravel instead

Well... There is a pic in the thread, so... Never heard of substrate made out of glass though, guess you learn something new everyday! :p
