Decided to get some snaps of my pond. There's been a population explosion over the last year. A mild winter is the main reason that so many baby fish survived so far.
I have seen loads and there are probably many more. Usually the young ones take at least 2 seasons in my pond to colour up. I have one that I think is at least 3 and is only just starting to get his colour, you can see him/her in one of the pic 4. Hes huge and if you look close you can see one or two gold scales starting to appear. This year maybe 10% of the fry allready have their colour. Makes it much more interesting. I'm gonna have to get rid of most of them somehow so if anyone is near east coast of Scotland and wants some let me know. I'm not giving away my favourite though, the little yellow and white one in pic 3
BTW you can see 18 fish in pic 2 if you look closely. Started thinning out the elodea, got to get the lilies out next and cut them back a bit.
