Damselfly Nymph

Did they multiply in your tank??!!? Geez that sux, hopegully their all gone for good.

Lol, no they did not breed.

In actual fact nymphs like these are still very much juvenile, they cannot breed until they are adults, when they get their wings basically and lay eggs on plants.

And yes, they are gone for good.

Syphon hose method and suck these nymphs out into a bucket is by far the best and easiest method should you ever hear of anyone having these in their tank.

Ha ha Charlie, I saw the update on this thread and thought, surely not more!!!! Phew!

Correct saw!

Athough this is in my 3 foot tank, thankfully there only plants and snails, no stocking yet.

Have to say there were a few empty pond snail shells, thought nothing of it, now thinking did these guys eat the snailds?

BTW theres another nymph in that pic somewhere

Yup, correct, it is hard to spot.

Soon as I saw these, out with the bucket and syphon hose, gone in 30 seconds

Still narks me though, I did check the plants fairly carefully, trimmed off dead/dying leaves and removed whatever etc, and washed them under the tap for several minutes whiles rubbing leaves with fingers to help get rid of anything on them.

So even the most careful person may still be unlucky enough to get these nymphs despite these measures
