Made a drastic change to my tank after seeing some on here. Went with ECO complete substrate topped with black gravel.
 
Plants aren't looking amazing at the minute but that's where I'm hoping someone will make a few suggestions
smile.png

 
Before pic is the one with white gravel (don't seem to be able to put it in the post)
 
After pics with black gravel.
 
I am aware there is some algae growth, but hopefully this will be reduced now.
 
Also awaiting delivery of reflectors for the lighting.

Fish appear much more active since the change. 
 
Also got my reflectors fitted - light output is much better now.
 
And finally to try and catch the pregnant swordtail.
 
Plants seem to be rooting ok. Been removing a few dying leaves but other than that, seems good.
