2Nd Stage Of Planting Done

I've just added a 2nd layer of plants to my 450L, all that remains is the hairgrass to carpet and a load of Pogostemon Helferi to go in on the right...I don't want too much carpeting. Glad to say CO2 is doing its job, plants are beading (just some), so might have to split the input into one for each side of the tank...I was using a powerhead dispersal system, but it was way too ugly

Looks good. That grass would go a whoooooole lot further if you split it up.
It's a bit tedious but basically plant your 'carpet' piece by piece right from the start and let it fill in - as of now anything that isn't on the outer edge of each clump is wasting it's potential.

Those were tiny pieces, they've grown like mad! Should I pull them out and split them further now that they've grown? Don't quite like the idea of that, rather just buy two more pots and plant them in...
 
It's up to you, it is very tedious tho. But basically (IMO) for best results plant out a thread bare version of the whole finished carpet - You shouldn't get clumping then as it fills in evenly
