Don't understand those calculations they seem wrong to me if 15.7 x 4.7 x 4.7 = 2 gallons ? 2 gallons convert to 9.0922 litres ? I calculate 15.7 x 4.7 x 4.7 to 2 litres & I've just sealed it & it holds 2 litres of water , as short term use as a breeding trap it looks big enough for smalish livebearers with all the dividers taken out .Ch4rlie said:Seems quite small to me.
According to the forum calculator, 15.7 x 4.7 x 4.7 is only 2 gallons / 6 litres.
With compartments in, even smaller obviously, barely a litre for each.
The slots at the bottom are 4mm wide and an inch long I want the fry to drop through into an empty tank below , ideal for what I need .fm1978 said:The size maybe isn't a problem if it's used solely as a fry trap but I have had experience with plastic traps and the fry can either get stuck in the slots on the bottom or will just swim straight through them. I changed to a net fry trap quite quickly after that.
