LOL, Mamashack.
I'm not sure, but I believe his head is filling in with more black. I am going to try and get a picture of it today, in the meantime here's a picture of his bubblenest attempt:
That is a great pic! Honestly since he is a marble I wouldn't be surprised with any color changes that were to happen. LOL It will be a nice surprise to see what he ends up looking like in say a month from now. I personally love marble bettas just for that reason.

It's not been a month yet, WB but here is a picture to show how he has already started to fill in some more with black all over his body, as well as his head, and even his eyes lol, a true changeling!

How is Malcolm coming along, Meeresstille? Has his colouring settled down yet?
My new(ish) veiltail called Cobalt is a juvy too - got him a couple of months ago and he varies from royal blue to dark turquoise with some red in between his tail spines and on his ventral fins.

Hi there! He doesn't look like a clown any more. I've managed to get a picture of him flaring. I have this picture set as my back ground on my laptop.
He's quite active and really likes my husband, which is strange, since I'm the one feeding him, ha ha. Is it possible that they like a voice?

Lol, PrairieSunflower! Oh yes, it's the same fish. It looks like his face will eventually have colour as well. there already is a bit of black and a bit of red showing up. It will be interesting to see which colour will win.

Just go to the bottom right of the bubble you'd normally type in, there is a button "More Reply Options" when you click on that another bubble comes up. When you scroll down it gives you the option to "Attach Files" click on "Choose Files"....oila!
