Hey everyone. Just got my new tank set up last night! It is a 125 USG Standard tank (72.5" x 18.5" x 23 3/8"), running with two 'Api Filstar Xp-Xl' canisters, rated for 265G with 450GPH flow rate each. This is my stock list at the moment..
Super Red Severums x8 (Largest is 3" in diameter) Letting them grow and choosing a pair to keep.
Blue Acara x4 (Largest male is 4" long) Pair has formed, bringing in the others to my LFS.
Geo Red head Tapajos x5 (Largest is just under 3" long)
Goldiei Rainbows x7 (Largest is 2")
Panda Cory x2
Petricola Cats x2
I want to either remove the pandas and increase the petricola numbers, or vice versa, and would really like to add in another sort of schooling fish, perhaps Odessa barbs. Is that something I could do, or would I be risking unwanted aggression in the tank? Thanks in advance!
Edit: I am also contemplating removing the severums completely. I bought them when they were very young (only about 3/4" in diameter) and they were sold to me as Super Reds, though they appear to be Gold Severums. Solid yellow/gold bodies with a bit of red spotting on the face and fins. And without the bright coloration, they appear to be very boring fish.
