I moved a Mystery Snail from my 200l tropical tank to my 130l goldfish tank, because the BN Pleco appears to have gone on strike and the sides are algae-ridden like never before (although he's back in action now that the snail is doing his work for him - competition is a good thing).

Woke up this morning, lifted the feeding hood, and found this:

Not sure how to proceed, I don't know how long the incubation period is, and I fear the goldies will just snork up whatever drops into the tank as soon as it hits the water.

Any suggestions?

If I remember right my lot were about a week before they hatched, if you can put a fry trap under where the eggs are you should catch them :)

I don't know about the snails
BNs are tropical fish which are not to be kept with goldfish. Please move him. :) He'll stop the strikes if you do. :)

If I move him it will be to the tropical tank. I have another BN in there, might be a lady. I could have more babies. Hmmm...

Well, the comets enjoyed the snacks provided by the tiny snails dropping from the egg cluster. Mrs snail has laid a smaller cluster this week, to be honest I don't want all those extra snails and I reckon a change of diet for the fish was welcome.

Meanwhile, after what I thought was another failed attempt at breeding cherry barbs, I think I have at least 4 fry. Woohoo, hope at least one is a boy...
