I have been looking online at various fish and when I was looking I came across an eBay seller selling wcmm I did not want any but he was selling them as tropical fish so I went onto his online shop to see what he said about the wcmm and he said that they are extinct in the wild. I don't think it is true but I could be wrong. Does anyone know if it is true or false and I have attached his article about them from Tom

Between 1980 and 2001 it was not recorded anywhere at all leading to fears of its extinction but a handful of relict populations have been discovered close to the type locality and at isolated spots in coastal Guangdong province (in the prefecture-level city of Shanwei) and Quang Ninh province, northeastern Vietnam.

I did not think that they had gone extinct but I knew they did not have huge numbers of them either from Tom

There are actually existing wild populations in Hong Kong somewhere north of Tai Mo Shan area
