Hey guys i was looking around on the internet for cool looking fish. I came across these multi colored fish call endler fish. Besides amazon and ebay where they seemed to be a little expensive does any body know where i can find some of them!?

http://aquabid.com  is another.    there are several endler auctions up right now, unfortunately they do go for quite a bit of money.  My petsmart has some low grade endlers, maybe one of your local fish stores has them?

I've seen some at PetLand, if you have one nearby that may be worth checking out ;o

Yes there definently pricey thats for sure maybe i can find some regular guppies and stick with that for that now def keep my eyes peeled. But aquabid.com is a cool site thanks ech0o! Being new to this I didnt know they had sites like that and that you could ship fish all over the place like that... sweet!

This thread is kinda interesting, I'm UK based and just got my GF some Black Bar Endlers, and these are found in quite a few LFS in UK.

I bought 8 endlers plus quite a few snails as well for her little 22 litre / 5.5 US gal nano tank, these cost me about £12 / $20.
How much are Endlers in your area of US if you don't mind my asking?

Really nice active little fish, realised they are jumpers so a covered tank is a must really!
GF's nano tank has 8mm gaps around the edge of lid to tank so need to make some adjustments or make a DIY clear perspex tighter fitting lid

yeah i got 2 endler males from my LFS at a price of $8 now all i have to do is wait for my LFS to get in their order of females so i can have a tank that actually looks like it has fish in it

Actually I went to four different stores yesterday that would sell fish and most of them said they never see them so I am thinking if I really want endlers im going to have to pay a pretty penny for them. Nice tank btw!

just a wee word of warning about these fish. i bought 4 about 6weeks ago, 3females and 1male, i am now on the approach to, if not already up to 40! if you were anywhere near me i could and would quite happily be able to give you females in a coupkle of weeks but unfortunately i'm in the UK.

Well that sure would be nice idk how well they would do over the ocean ha wishful thinking

Yes as with all livebearers, these guys are PROLIFIC!!!    The only fish that are worse with breeding are mollys, they have the fat little bellies to hold so many more fish than a guppy!

Exactly the reason why for GF's endler nano tank I got all males

i wouldn't know how to even begin packing them for such a trip, i doubt if they would make it :(

I cant wait for my females just so i can breed them, luckily for me my LFS is not always able to get them in so once i have them i will be able to sell them my males, unfortunately they do not want any females unless someone asks for them.

there is a possability you will get more females than males. my first batch of 4 fry only gave one male, my 2nd batch i think gave 2. you may end up with a lot of females on your hands.

Yeah and if so i will try to find someone who wants some females that may be close to me.
