what you can do it stop feeding for a few days and see if the body changes. if not then the other possibility is fat with eggs or internal parasite.

On what diet are they ??? Do you feed some vegs as well? Try a starve-day once in a while. Won't harm them.
I feed the whole tank on a "variety pack" frozen food. It has bloodworms, brine shrimp, daphnia, and something else in little frozen cubes. I also feed them some flakes sometimes. I feed my corydoras shrimp pellets and algae wafers and the gouramis eat on those as well.DoubleDutch said:

Mmmm not a lot wrong with that, but maybe you could try to feed the gouramis some more algae / vegs, being more omnivore than for instance Corys (95% carnivores) I feed them some lettuce that I boiled for a few minutes.
