That is a bit expensive, for me anyway, but certainly seems worth it. He's almost full grown then isn't he? Do they get the same size as other bn's?
Oh dear! That would freak me out too

They get to be about 7". A regular bristlenose gets to be about 5".
Most of the other plecos at my lfs are about $50-$70. This guy caught my eye because of his spots. The camera makes it seem like the spots are white but irl it is more like gold flecks on him.

Ooh okay! How neat, and that sounds gorgeous! Looking forward to more pics of him when he gets older :)

Here's a video of some great activity from my community! In the video are my spotted port hoplo, striped raphael, pearl gouramis, and some various corydoras species (and my dogs in the reflection!).

And a picture of my beautiful male pearl gourami, Arthur:

His spots have a tinge of blue, which you can sort of see in the picture on his tail fin and in a couple other places. It's much more dramatic and widespread in person; a camera doesn't do him much justice.

And my raphael. He's a little more than twice as big as when I first got him (about 2 months ago).

Some shots of my plecos:

My long-finned bristlenose hanging off driftwood. Right below him to the left you can see the starlight bristlenose's tail (which I didn't notice until after the picture had been taken).

My albino bristlenose. His bristles only recently started to develop.

And finally,  the starlight bristlenose (and the albino, up on top) exploring a new piece of driftwood.

So we went ahead and splurged on getting another 48" light fixture and light for the 72 gallon, and I gotta say, it looks AMAZING. Who knew that a well lit tank looked so good? Duh.

We also got 2 full grown brown hoplos. They are such neat fish! They seem to interact with your hand/fingers when you touch the glass.
we will also be removing our 2 brochis splendins, violet corydoras, julii corydoras, Venezuelan redfin (until he gets bigger), and the albino bristlenose into the 30 gallon aquarium upstairs (it has 7 Colombian tetra).
Will post pics soon, the camera died.

Picture of my new tank arrangement! I added some new driftwood on the right side and took out the rock cave on the left and replaced it with the new and improved slate rock cave.

nice i really like the big plant.
Thanks! : ) Me too.
I'll be adding a large red tiger lotus soon.
My room mate has a aqua garden with Co2 and all the fixins and her red tiger lotus outgrew her tank really fast and is giving it to me.
