Why does that look like a boy to me? Maybe just the way the pic has been taken! If she is female and pregnant she looks to be about 2-3 weeks along. 
 
It's definitely the picture that makes her look male. But, I can assure you she's a female. She has a black line on the distinguishing fin that blends in with the background of the tank! How much longer will it be before she births? 
 
Ah it's the pic then! I always miss my platies labour, they can take up to 5 weeks to give birth. She looks to be about 2-3 weeks, I wouldn't expect fry for another 2 weeks yet. 
 
Okie dokie! And when should I move her into a a floating birth tank? A couple days before?

I wouldn't but if you really must then only at the very last minute. I have had many a female die in the breeder trap. It stresses them out too much. I move the females to the fry tank at about 2-3 weeks on so they stay there for a few weeks, have the fry then I move the mums back.
