Minimum tank size: due to its large size, tandanus catfish should be kept in massive aquaria or ponds. A 4 meter x 2 meter will suffice.
Temperament: predatory and aggressive, best kept with other large fish like Murray cod or pacu.
Habitat: lakes and creeks in australia
Water parameters: will do fine in cold water. Doesnt care about PH or hardness aspects of water quality.
Diet: pellets, flake, wafers, fish, insects, crustaceans and just about any meaty food that can fit in its mouth.
Tank section: bottom dweller.
Appearance: large whiskers and a eel tail.
Breeding: has been successfully imitated in captivity.
