looks good, needs more plants >.> =D

Hello and
welcomeani.gif
!!!

I like the background. The water seems a bit cloudy. Did you "cycle" the tank before you added fish?

How many fish are in the tank? I agree with mike, plants are an AWESOME addition to any tank. Some can be planted directly into the substrate, some tied onto wood, rocks, etc. in the tank, some can float. There are plenty of options for a "low tech" tank, and don't need much beyond what they can get from the water column.

Thanks for your warmly welcome and advise. The water has seem clearer overnight. How can I upload new pics here at the reply section?

Here is an update pic,the tank has cleared....

Time to add more fish?

Did you cycle the tank or just set it up straight away and add fish ? I ask because if the tank isn't cycled then you could start losing fish very soon. This place is great for getting help and information. If you understand filtration and how good bacteria builds up in your filter pads to aid in neutralising all the fish waste the you will have a smother transition Ito fish keeping.

What are your ammonia and nitrite levels like?

I had a 20"cube tank for around 2 months and come to this. I just transfer everything into my new tank. But before I put the fishes into the new one, I had the existing filter cycle the new tank for around 2 days with half tank of water from my old one. Coz I've been told by one of the local shop.

How can I find out my ammonia and nitrite levels?

Sorry....newbie here!!!
thanks.gif

Have you still got the old filter media in the new tank?

You really, really do need a set of test kits of your own; no fishkeeper should be without them, IMO.

Make sure you get liquid or tablet based ones; the paper dip strip type can be inaccurate and misleading.

+1 - get a test kit of your own, they are as necessary as the tank itself for keeping fish.

yep get an API master test kit, isnt THAT expensive (£30) for what it does, it WILL save your fish and you alot of money.
Dont add fish for a good 1-2 weeks
and that goes for EVERY time you add a fish or more than one, always give the tank PLENTY of time to adjust to the new fish and their bioload

Test ammonia, nitrite and nitrate EVERY DAY for the first 2 weeks without fail.
record all your results as then if anything spikes or goes wrong you can see where and when and find the cheapest, fastest solution to your problems should you have any arise.

Thanks for all the kind comments and suggestions!!! Going out to get one of those test kit!!!

Shop around online first, I got mine for more like £20. Try Amazon & ebay.

Waiting for the water test kit to come in!!!

In the mean time, I took a few snaps of group.........
