No one can for sure as the only real way is to check their vent underneath or if they lay eggs.. and even then you need a good eye and to know what you are looking for...

However, I have seen an awful lot of Angels and they will always fascinate me, especially behaviours.

My educated guess is that they are both male, though if i was to have a doubt and you had eggs, i would assume the one on the right is the questionable one but thats purely because they are such tiny photos.

Good luck

sorry i couldn't seem to get the pics any bigger, they seem to stick together all the time though and chase any other fish away including other angels .

just seeing if they are bigger added separately.

and the answer to that is no..lol

I've had males grow up together and bond so tightly that when seperated, they refused to eat and just hid until i had to put them back together (within minutes of a happy looking reunion, they were both kings of the tank and scoffing food again!).

Same as I had two female discus pair up to a point where they went through mating rituals together and layed eggs together at same time in same place. I had to seperate them in the end as they got too frustrated at their eggs not being fertilised but neither female would ever bond with another discus after that.

Fish, especially cichlids, have their own quirks and personalities! Its why i love them! :good:
