This is Ganzar (my husband named him) he is a character alright....loves to eat infact he is a little full in this picture because the night before we tried (emphasis on tried) to give our otocinclus a wafer we turned out the lights and everything but he scarfed down every last bit of it. So he is on a diet for a day or so.

I'll second that one Hes a handsom boy. I got a soft spot for fish who make little pigs out of themselves too.

I was a little worried about buying a Gourami because i didn't know that he would interact with us like a betta. I have been pleasantly surprised by his personality. I also adore the spitting i nearly lost it the first time i saw him do that i was thrilled. I actually caught a picture of him spitting by accident. It is not the greatest but i think it is neat.

I think that's an awesome picture of him spitting! My red dwarf (in my sig) does the same thing, it's so cool! I about fell over when he did it the first time, also. I wish I could catch it in a photo, way to go!

Rvm, it was sheer luck i had no idea and almost discarded the photo when at the last minute i noticed it. I wish i had enough control over him to make him spit on command. I guess i sort of do since he does it anytime he thinks he is gettting food or attention.

Juliethegr8t, i was astonished with it so much that i called my husband when he was at work to tell him what i saw his fish do, he was jealous. He has definitely done a great job at charming his way into our hearts in this house.
