I have had two female guppies for about 1 month now. I bought them along with 2 male guppies, i see the males trying to mate with them but they seem to shy away. However every time i feed them the two females get huge, i'm just wondering if anyone thinks they are pregnant.

P.s. my other female guppy is exactly like the one in the pic. :)

If males and females live together they will be pregnant. I am really not very good at guessing how far along they are, I posted a few days ago and a couple of people sent me some really good pictures of their guppies just before they gave birth... Have a look at I need some expert eyes thread. Hope the pictures help you as well.

She is very big, definitely looks pregnant I would guess that maybe she has another few days to go or a week max. Mines was like that for a week, she was huge! then she went square and dropped 2 days ago!

This was my female when she was about a week before she dropped. She was like this for ages-notice the shape.

Again notice the shape You can see she was a cube. When your female squares off at the bottom of her belly she is going to drop.
Hope this helps

i would say week to go max, but i think you will be looking around Wednesday time when she drops looking at the pics.

She has got thinner now, no fry. However i fed some brineshrimp today and immediately afterwards she got huge again??

your over feeding her mate, her belly should not be dropped down at the front lower than the back, it should be level, this why she is looking huge at the front, cut back on the feeding :)

See in your pic below i have put a arrow pointing to the little lump?

This is the biggest tell tale sigh that she is not far from dropping.

Thanks will cut back, how often do u feed?

most live-bearers i have always just feed 2 or 3 times a day, but only small amounts, if i see their stomachs dropping to much i would just feed once a day till its sorted.

Juts think how small their stomachs are, they dont take much to fill, plus fish are greedy they dont know when to stop eating lol
