Hello everyone.
I'm new here, I've had my tank since September 2011 and have had no problems, but around last month i noticed it getting slightly cloudy. At first i thought it was because i had just done a water change and it had kicked up some sand etc. but after a week it had got worse, i did another change, a bigger one to help clear it out.
Over the past month it has just got so bad where i can't see more than 10 - 15cm into the tank before it gets too bad.
To me it looks green (shown in the pictures) but if i look closely, where the water flow from the filter is, it is white and milky looking.
I have been told many different things to do, bought some Clear water treatment stuff by tetra, which didnt work.
I am now using Stress Zyme, which i swear has made it even worse than it already is
Then i got told to leave it and do nothing and it will sort itself out, but it has only got worse since that.
I have changed the filters, i have an Aqua style 620T, the black carbon filters were changed about a month ago and the tray filter was changed about 3 weeks ago.
I use Prime by seachem when doing a water change and a ph down to keep it at 6.5PH but with this problem at the minute it keep rocketing up to 7.5, so i keep adding more to keep it down.
If anyone could give me some help that would be great, i have to look at this everyday and its horrible, especially as i have a Pario-Ancistrus Pleco (L-048) which is difficult to see at the best of times. Aswell as this i can't see how my fish are unless they swim by the glass which they dont often do.
Cheers everyone
