Hi,
Can anyone help us identify this fish?

We have inherited a tank and have 3 of these, but we have no idea what they are.

They are about 5cm long and must be about 4-5 years old.

Many thanks,
Ian

Yep, congo tetras, Phenacogrammus interruptus.
Males have elongated dorsal fin and the larger tail, the females are less distinctive.

I recently came back with a group of Phenacogrammus (nigropterus? males have yellowy/orange fins) from Amazon Aquatics (last trading post on Ebay) at the end of my holiday, I was amazed at how many African characins there are which we rarely see in the hibby because of all the political problems in the area (especially the Democratic Republic of Congo).
