I'd also like to know that I know that newts being amphibians have to come to the surface to breath -Thanks to Gerald Durrell's my family and other animals... WHAT A BOOK!!

He/she looks gorgeous CCL, do you just have the one? Have they been bred? I've never seen them available in shops are they?

I've only got the one at the moment, I am tempted to get another one if the lfs get some more in. Apparently they are very difficult to sex so I've no idea if it's a boy or a girl. As far as I am aware the biggest they can grow to is about 7 - 8 inches from nose to tail, also they spend the whole time under water.
