lol...sounds like what my sisters cat does....except she's too big to go all the way in...and even when she isn't all the way in, you still can see her fur bursting out of anyholes in the box. 
I think my cat thinks she is invisible in that box. She pokes her nose out the handle and then when you walk by she will try to jump out and attack. But since she is bigger than the opening, she can't get out in time and ends up crawling across the carpet with just her front half sticking out. Funny stuff
