Hi

I got a fluval u3 which came with filter media:
Sponges X2
Carbon Pads X2

And some other media which i'm not sure about. My question is, is this media like ceramic rings that dont need replacing, or is it more like carbon that needs replacing? (sorry about the quality) kjlmn.jpg

no need to replace ceramics mate... although i would reccoment making a hole in each of them to get more surface area...

No need to replace, for the hassle noodles are like a £5 from flebay instead drilling holes through them which will enrage me lol :p

There good enough IMO just use them :good:

yeah, why not :p you could probably fit a few more in there though... i suggest removing the fine filtercarbon pad as well...

Thanks, i did know that ceramice dont need replacing,m but i didn't know if this media was ceramic media, as i have never seen media like it. Thanks everyone :good: .

I didn't put the carbon in in the first place and that media is all that came with the filter unfortunately :good:

ok, they do do replacement biomax stuff incase it cracks or something...

Just give the ceramic's a swish in old tank water when you do a water change should last years, might need to replace when the badly clogged up but that should take a fair while :good:
