Hi folks, when I was at pets at home yesterday I noticed a tiny little fish with awesome colours-there it was-an endler in with the guppy males. I went back today and he was still there so I had to take him it was 3 for a tenner but there was only 1. The woman said they hardly get any endlers in it's always guppies. I went down the road to dobbies because I was sure I saw one there too, but they are so tiny I thought maybe it was a tetra. I went in and there it was an endler male. I had to have him.
The bags have been floating for about 20 mins now. They are so tiny I keep checking they are still there. I'm so excited I have never been able to get any and here they are! I will get some pics up later let you see the little guys :D
Thanks

here are pics of them in the bags awaiting release!
here is the first one -can you see him? more to the top of the bag

Yeah they are a nice looking fish although small, your right they are hard to find at the lfs. I have one in my tank but i am not sure how he got there as i never bought one, had him for about 2 years now and he seems quite hardy. I feed mine on live food and his colours are quite amazing for the size of him.

They are nice little fish, My Lfs usually has a few in, seen a couple of types down there. I have been tempted a few times

It's also impossible to find them here. They are small with max size at 1Inch lol. :D so cute and colorful though.

Unfortunately they were dead in a few hours. My water was all perfect, they must had had something, and passed it to everything cus in a few hours all my fish died
I was so devastated. I went to pets at home so they tested my water and came back all perfect too, told them to test the oxygen but that was spot on aswell. They just said it was the fish.

Hi i am new to this forum and find it most interesting!
Regarding your endlers in the photo they are Black bars ! I am an endler breeder with most strains available in the UK and some that are not available! I was saddened to hear of your loss! The endlers you received must have had something wrong
with them as they are extreamly hardy and can tolerate most water conditions! If you would like some more PM me and we can arrange something! W.

Hi thanks for the reply. It must have been down to them since everything in my tank died :(
I don't think I would be able to have endlers now as I was given replacement fish so I chose honey gouramis-well that's what they were labelled as in the shop but i've been told they are a hybrid  they went in my tank and are still alive 3 days later. The ammonia levels have been stable for a while now but today they went right upto 8  and the nitrites were deep purple. I just changed the water about 50% I tested it and it was down to 2 and the nitrites went light purple. I don't know why it would spike up like that but I will wait until tomorrow and test the water again and if it's still high do another water change or can I do 2 water changes in the one day?

Hi on second thoughts it may not have been the endlers it may be your filtering system as you said your ammonia spiked up to 8 that is very high you must check your filter medium what types are you using? 2 water changes in one day is a bit much
i would check and clean part of your filter media then test tomorrow to see if it has stabled!

Maybe the ammonia spiked because you didn't remove all the dead fish?
I see that you had other threads opened for the sick fish, with the white staff attached to your fish. Did that happen just after introducing the endlers?
