Pregnant Sward-Tails?

Two black Swordtails, Are they pregnant? and about when will they have the fry?

I do have an extra tank up in the attic, but i need to know about how much time I have to set it up

Most female livebearers are constantly pregnant, but your has a couple of weeks left yet, IMO.

If you can buy a cheap sponge filter, put the sponge in your filter now and it should have some of the good bacteria you need for the extra tank by the time shes ready; you'll know when she's due within the next couple of days when she 'squares off'

the on on the left doesn't look pregnant but like fluttermoth said if you have aale in there she most probably will be soon.The fish on the right does look pregnant but i would say there is still atleast a week and a half to go maby a bite longer.

The bottom picture is defo preggo, but she still has some time. When her body looks like a box, then you know she will be any day

Break out that spare tank and start doing a fishless cycle. You won't finish the cycle before the 3 weeks or so to a next drop but at least you can get a head start on it.
