I Have had this aquarium fo a year now ... http://www.aquavistauk.co.uk/panoramicpage.html
In the past i havent had much success on keeping various plants but yesterday i went on a spending spree for new plants at my LFS.
I have also bought root tabs & plantamin to boost this attempt. Already i have noticed the edges of the plants have gone wrinkled.
Im not sure if this is normal but lighting is on from 1600 - 2200 & the co2 works the same time as the lights.

I guess i should have asked @ my local fish store what they use to keep the plants looking so healthy but i suppose i got a little carried away.

So my question is ... what do i use to keep my plants looking so lush?
Im not sure what plants i have so i have posted pics ...

Some plants are just harder to grow than others. :good:

#1 - Looks like dracena, if so it isn't an aquatic plant and will rot if not taken out soon.
#2 - Not sure, but it's aquatic and rather cute!
#3 - Elodea! Easy to grow and very good oxeygenators.
#4 - Not sure.
#5 - Which one? Both are aquatic, can't remember the name of the one on the left but the one on the right is cabomba, which is also easy to grow and acts as a good oxeygenator.
#6 - An indian fern. I can't remember if it's aquatic or not, but if it's knocked all the leafy bits fall off and get everywhere. I had one and that really annoyed me!
#7 - Looks like a bigger version of #2?
#8 - Non-aquatic, should be taken out or it'll rot.
#9 - Non-aquatic, should be taken out or it'll rot.

I'm sorry, I'm not very good with plants, but I hope the info I have given you can help! My IDs are probably a bit off though, so better wait for someone more experienced to help!

FF is quite right there...

1. Non aquatic
2. Micranthemum umbrosum
3. Elodea
4. Non aquatic
5. Echinodorus
6. non aquatic
7. Bacopa
8. non aquatic
9. non aquatic

some wasted money there!

Thanks! ....
Yeah that is a waste of money then  , ironic!. They never told me it wasnt suitable to be fully submersed as they were submersed when i bought them.

there are a few good sites online for plants, Plants Alive and Planted Tanks seem to be the popular ones on here.

Thanks! ....

Take them back and question them and try and swap for more suitable fully aquatic plants. :)

Apart from the mistakes with the wrong plants i bought, is the set up good enough for the right plants?

Take all the non-aquatic plants back and get them swapped for something aquatic. Or just get your money back as they've misled you into the sale and give your money to a more trustworthy source.
