Toblerone Not Part Of Test :p Haha

this is why i like fish in cycles, you now know what to expect after 8 hours so you can plan your water changes accordingly, hopefully in a few days nitrite will stop rising so fast and allow you to do a water change every 24 hours.

Also for ammonia and nitrate just use 2.5ml of water halving the amount of drops you put in the vial :)

just done a 50% water change

like what Nitrate and Nitrite have dropped but ammonia has stayed the same :( :S

why didnt i think ov only using half bloody good idea that :D

Hehe, it was Tizer that told me back in May to do the same :)

is there not a easier way to be able to get this tank right? even if it means finding a new home for the fish for a few days because a dont really have the time to keep doing 50%+ water changes every day will its right

The only other way is a fishless cycle, but that will take more than a few days. But you will have a head start if you can re-home the fish while you run that. Fishless cycling info

The only options are,

1. Carry on as you are.
2. Find someone who can donate some mature media which will help a lot.
3. Re home fish until the tank is ready. Some LFS's have been known to look after fish for people.

if i keep doing large water changes?... 70%-80% would it go a little quicker? or would it just take the same amount of time?
