Thick Lipped Gourami With A Problem (Pic Provided)

I have been to the different shops to look at gourami, they all look the same, but I am just worried about the colour of the fin across the top. Should it darken? Have a look at the pic of the happy seeming, eating well fella.

I remember with my neons, I walked in at 23 30 to turn on the light to watch the new fish.

The pleco buggered off, the tetras looked dead.... Was worried at the time, the colour then came back and bliss was restored
