My Garra Rufa

Fish Symptoms: Its a Garra Rufa, 1 of 4 and it has a red buldge under its belly where its anus would be i imagine. It still eats bt not as much as the others and its not very active compared to the others? PLease help.


Volume and Frequency of water changes: every 3 to 4 days @ 15 to 20 %

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: just the nutrafin aqua and nutrafin waste control

Tank inhabitants:2 X RED HONEY GOURAMIES, 5 X NEON TETRA AND 5 X GARRA RUFA

Recent additions to your tank: JUST THE GARRA RUFA, GOT THEM ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO AND THEYVE BEEN FINE UP TO NOW.

Exposure to chemicals:NONE

Sorted the broblem now.

Im curious as to what the problem was? Id have thought bacterial infection?

I have the same issue, I have 4 Garra Rufas, 2 have this red bulge and the other two don't.

Could you please tell me what the red patches were on your Garra Rufa fish as i am having the same problem with my own fish.
