Can this be used in an aquarium?

Way cheaper than normal stuff.

I would have thought so.

Alternatively do what i'm doing, make your own. Alls you need is polystyrene, something to stick them together, a knife to carve it and then cement or grout to colour weight it down. :)
 
Yes, can be. You do have to fill the tank with water and empty repeatedly for a week or two to allow the cement to leach out what it can. Then after a while it stops altering the pH of your water and is safe to sustain life.

I can't find any threads on here. There is HX's planted journal over in the planted journal section, they created a fantastic piece of custom 3D background, well worth a look. Then youtube it, you'll get loads of DIY 3D background how-to's video's come up on there.

Looks Ok you just need to ask if the finished paint will stand up to water..
I made mine and coated it in epoxy resin and kiln dried sand.. instead of cement, I work with cement and its nasty stuff.
