i love iguanas!
i wanted one bad a few years ago but don't have the space, time or money to raise one properly
it would be selfish of me to cram him into a tiny cage and not have time for him :/

yours looks like a sweety
is it hand tamed?
i have scars on my arm from rescueing an iguana back in highschool
it was running into a hall and a bunch of guys where running towards it
this iguana liked to be pet but NOT picked up
i snatched it up just before it was about to get stepped on and it thrashed around
i brought it back to the classroom and set it in its huge pen
then i heard some girl scream
and i looked down and my arm was gushing blood from 5 deep gashes
i didn't blame Evol (the iguana) for a second
it was my own fault for underestimating the power of this beautiful creature
it only reacted in instinctive defense
i loved her so much

beautifull Iguana, mine is 4yrs and we just reciently moved him in to yet another larger cage (than god my hubby likes to build things) the cage is 2'x4'x3' with an upper shelf for him to bask on and lots of places to climb . we also changed his location from the kitchen to the living room and he seem to like it much better. he loves to have his belly rubbed but only my daughtert can pick him up and he dosen't care for it very much.

no offense taken :p
but did you mean the temporment or the size?
hate to say it but there is no way to stop thes cuties from growing monstrous
so be prepared

very cool! I used to have an iguana about 6 years ago, we had my aunt build a custion 3 foot long, 6 foot high wooden cage and he loved it, unfortunatley we had to get rid of him. how big is that cage hes in? he looks very happy :D

oh btw, have you ever tried feeding him scrambled eggs and cheese? my iguana mikey used to go crazy over them!

First you should never feed Iguanas any animal proteens they cannot properly break down the proteens and it will lead to kidney failer and death. That having been said mine loves spaggetti with lost of meat free sauce

thats funny I have been told differently and if it does cause kidney failure it didnt in him, he lived a long healthy life. He ate mostly veggies and hibiscus flowers we grew, but an occasion egg never hurt him and he loved it.
