Here's a pic of my first ever tank. I was given the tank for Xmas, no heater, no filter, no gravel, no fish. It's 96 litres by my calculations.

It took a few months of research, several $$$ and then a few dramas (and sadly some deaths) in the cycling and now (hopefully) things are going smoothly!

My first set of plants weren't really aquatic ones it seems. But my new ones seem Ok for now.

I've now got 5 zebra danios and 2 silver mollies. I'm thinking of keeping fish numbers low so they all have lots for swimming room, but I wouldn't mind one more slightly larger fish if I can find one that wouldn't be lonely or mean to the other fish, or I might get 6 or so rummy nose tetras.....

It's nothing special but I'm happy with it now!

thanks for looking

For your first ever tank, That is a great setup you have there :) Love the wood surrounded by plants :)

As said above, excellent scape for a first tank! Wish I could say I started out that way, unfortunately for me like most people - it was "roman pillars and plastic plants" for me.

hey,

thanks for all your kind comments!

I can see how this fish thing could get to be addictive!

Very nice for your first time, and even better than some established ones I've seen. Good job!

The tetras wouldn't be a bad idea, but stop there! Addictive, indeed.

You sure do. I started with a 30L guppy tank similar to yours.

Now I have 3 aquariums and really want a 4th :(.

very nice, for a first set up this is brilliant. :good:

Well done, very well done.

Looks great!

thanks again everyone for your very kind words!

I've barely got room for the one tank at the moment, so I'll have to try to remain calm!

see how we go........
