Hi All, Just A Few Tank Updates, Maybe Need Some Advice

Heya all. Its been about a month or 2 now since i have updated, mainly due to starting a new job and a big house move looming (Alex itches his head and wonders how to fit all his fish in his pockets while moving).

Both tanks are coming on well the main tank is responding well with co2 and ferts (algea has nearly all cleared up)

so here it is

I do apologise for the bad quality pics could not find the good camera (think its already been packed away)

all suggestions and comments welcome.
I really would like a couple of ideas for the main tank. I would love to ditch the swards at the back and replacing with something else across the hole back but not with Vallis as it grows like a weed in my tank and have just ripped it all out (hence the big gap in the middle and the back)
 
Any help guys. Ideas for the back of my main tank.
not botherd about ditching the swards just want something to brake up the back wall and to cover the heater and the external pump pipes.
Open to all suggestions all but Vallis that is :hyper:
 
hornwort? red ludwigia? I was going to say vails as they are some of my favorites but apparently not yours haha. also what is that clump of plants in the back? it almost looks like java moss.

Cheers for the ideas will have a look when i get in 2night.
Plants in the tank at the front are a selection of chain swards, pogostem (spelling) few different types of cripts, clump of Anubis on the bog wood trunk and then just swards at the back with some more cripts around them, They have took really well 2 the tank with new shoots poping up everyware some as far as 5cm from the mother plant (there must be a good network of roots under the substraight. Not sure which one your on about that looks like jave moss none of that in my main tank.
Lots and lots of it in the smaller one tho along with Anubis and java fern.

Any more ideas people??

its which ever one is in a clump floating in the back of your betta tank that i meant

also, another tall plant I use to take up space is Egeria densa
 
ow yer it is jarva moss. such a dense clump now, gets a trim nearly every week

Update : had to euthanize (hole-in-the-head disease, something else ? Do i need to treat the hole tank ?)
