My Lfs has some 'Julii' in, and i must say they do look rather different to my 3 Line, i am going to pick some up later today let you guys decide what they are, if they are indeed Julii's i am tempted to buy the lot and breed them :good:

If not no big deal have been hunting for some 3 Lines anyway

Mine were advertised in the LFS as Julii's but appear to be 3 lined from the reticulated pattern on the heads, as opposed to spots, plus the three lines

yours look very different to mine too

time will tell i'm off to get them in a mo, pics to follow shortly :good:

ive got some that were advertised as jullis but i dont think they are. but they look different yours. i used to have some 3 line that looked compeltely diffeent to any others, there seems to be a lot of variety in the density and darkness of their markings i think.

here a pic of mine that were labelled as julii

i got 7 for £19.50 so either way i'm happy (got 2 extra due to taking some slightly battered bettas off there hands cheap too, which i'm always happy to do)

i would say they are definitely 3 line, the squiggles on their heads are very obviously squiggles not spots. very nice price though, less than 3 quid each is a bargain, even for 3 lines. its odd, your first few pictures the markings are faint and pale, though the bottom coule are more defined. comparing my picture to your first 2 pictures, you would almost say they're different species.

if mine turn out to be julii, im going to phone them see if i can swap my current sterbais and agassizi's for some more.

Thanks Frank, thought they would be  will have to fish the other one out and add him to this group :good:

Can I weigh in with an ID request as well please... :)

Mine were sold as Julii, about £2.50 each.

The 2nd to about 5th pics down.

Julii?

Ta :)

So no-one who bought Julii's actually got them... :) Not that it really matters as they look so similar I guess, unless they were v.expensive...

I shall insist upon DNA testing in future though... :)
