I think you have more of a problem than simply ich, sadly. Are you aware that iridescent sharks can reach 3 feet in length? They are really not suitable for any home aquarium. Any chance you can rehome it or take it back to the shop where you bought it?

as for the ich, if the spots are small and white, then it sounds like ich. There are several treatments available and your local fish shop should stock some. Can you get a picture up on this board so that people can confirm it is ich before you start treating?

Yes, I'm aware of the size it will grow... It's still very small now(where a 4ft tank is large enough) and will soon buy a bigger tank. The spots are white, and well size is hard to say... On pics of ich I see it looks like salt, but it's bigger than that... If you look at your * on your keyboard... That's about the size of the spot. Hard to take a pic as he's quite fast. lol I did get a pic, but it was on the side without the spots. Will try again tonight...

if it's the size of a keyboard * then it sounds too large to be whitespot.

Maybe someone else has an idea?

without pictures its hard to say, though one of my platys has recently developed white spots about that size on his tale, which look incredibly fungal to me, and that's what i'm treating him for. Do the spots on your shark look furry at all?

Here is a pic.

althought the picture is a bit blurry, could it be missing scales? He might be damaging himself against something sharp in the tank.

Sorry to repeat what I said earlier, but you really should think about rehoming him. Even if you get a very large tank at home, it still wont be enough for the fish's long term needs.
