So, I have decided to go through with my 180 gallon malawi tank ...was going to just be mbuna, but, but, but....I want to keep Sammy and Jub-Jub along with Simon and his four wives in there as well ...So as it stands at the moment, it will be a fryeri / aulonocara / mbuna / loach / synodontis tank. This means of course that....(please don't sob too much wuv, Heather and Julie) I am going to be selling the frontosa...I already have a time tomorrow set up to bring them in...probably going to take a couple of trips ...heh heh.
So in the process of re-doing the 180, the 50 will also be re-done, the remaining tanganyikans from the 180 will be moved into the 50. Brichardi / leleupi / savoryi / julies and a couple of the plecos...probably the king tiger and the tiger...we'll see. Doing this should reduce some of my overstocking problems...not that they are problems now, but they certainly will be in a few months...40-some mbuna in a 50...heh heh. )
Then after I am done with those two...*pretends that it will be quick and painless* It's on to the 90....who is having some really weird cloud problems...has been for months now...*perplexed* I am a little frustrated with it, so I may just re-do the entire thing as well...I just want to be able to keep the fish that are in it...the ever famous O.B. Peacocks and Big Bird the gravy eater...not to mention that I would probably be strangled if I sold them too. Thinking of going sand in it....but dunno if I am ready for that again...had some probs before...
Anyway, thought I would do some progress pictures as I tear them apart...hopefully I remember to take more pics as I am in the midst of it....might get a little carried away and all The best part of re-doing the 180 I think is going to be pulling the styro out from under the gravel (it turns the gravel pink ) ) NO MORE PINK GRAVEL!!!
Here is the 180 as of tonight.
