can someone help me please asap thankyou x

By water stats I mean
Ammonia
NitrIte
NitrAte.

From the photo, it does resemble dropsy.
Dropsy is more of a symptom than an actual disease, sadly, for the most part it has no cure.

Large water changes are the best thing to do, this will ensure the fish has a healthy environment to heal up.

The prognosis isn't good going by that picture and with a tank that's only 4 weeks old, I'm expecting a few toxins to be in the water (ammonia, nitrite).

Good thing to do is to check out this sites Newbie help centre to better help you understand what I'm waffling on about.

As I said, it's more of a symptom to any number of either problems. It could be internal bacteria, which could be passed on after death or even in water column. It could also just be a duff guppy and the stress of transport may have been too much.

Best thing to do is to try and physically separate into another tank or at least another body of water. I would personally take the fish back, as it's been less than 24 hours since you bought her before she started showing symptoms.

ok thankyou i may take the fish back which would seem my best option i just wanted some advice incase it was pregnant so i thank you so much for that and if i keep the fish i will let you know the update thanks again hun x

CAWH!
£40! That's made me jealous!

Well done on that bargain!

I do recommend reading up in the newbie resource centre, it's essential if you want to perhaps go into something a bit more advanced later down the line.

No rush right now, but it is a good idea. Perhaps print some of it out and read it in bed?
