Today I went to go get another croaking gourami, because I believe my two are both males, and they're starting to significantly harass each other. Anyways, the croakers they had at the store were not in very good shape, and they have not had any new ones in for ages... so I got two sparkling gouramis! They're teeeeeny. Small fish, but also babies. Very cute! I love em. Here they are...

Here's the other one, he is more shy... harder to get pics of!! Anyways, I think this one is male and the other female, if the theory about the row of spots is right (though it may not be). Who knows, they're awesome either way!!

And here is a shot that somewhat shows the size difference when compared to the croakers. They actually are smaller than they look, the sparkling gourami is just closer to the cam.

And one of the croakers cuz they're SO CUTE. I have a million of them, but they look the same... so I guess it's not that exciting for y'all... Anyways, I picked this one because it is showing the behavior they do when they croak - the one on the left actually was, but you can't tell. They circle each other head to tail with flared fins, and vibrate their bodies when they croak. It's super cute!

psgill - I'm so glad to hear you got another one!! Your little gal will be so happy to have a buddy, plus they're adorable to watch interacting.

cometcattle - They were supposed to be 1.99 each, but I was overcharged to 2.99 each.. I didn't realize it till I was partway home. Oh well, they're worth 2 extra bucks.


Thanks for the compliments guys! I'll try to get better pics after they settle in and aren't swimming around like little speedies.

Your right, they are interacting well today.

They were in Different ends of the tanks yesterday.

Female is still in her plant.

The new Guy is on the other side of the Background under the Floating Plants on that Side. But he has chosen a Spot where he can still see her thru 1 of the ABF Entrances.
