Hello

This is my community 5 foot aquarium which has been running for about a month with some borrowed media.

filter is an xp3 but i am currently saving to change that to a FX5. please recommend any changes to aquascape and let me know what you think.

all plants are either silk or plastic

but i would like to change to real plants
p.s does anyone know what the fluff growing on the wood is. the wood is redmoor and is pretty new but when i brought it was told it was safe to go straight in.

very nice mate loving the red spot sev
good.gif

is that white stuff dangerous. some of it has tiny bubbles in. which i cant figure out what it is. i have been tempted to wipe it off my self but wasnt sure.

The white stuff wouldn't be ich would it?

Either that or maybe a fungus, perhaps from over feeding?

Tanks looking nice though, where did you get your sev from?

regardless to what the shop says i would have soaked the wood before putting it in the tank

looking good and will look better when they have all grown a bit. I love rummy noses in a shoal

no idea about the sap never seen that before but one thought do big sevs eat small tetras

I have a fluff type thing growing on a couple of pieces of wood I have in different tanks. I have never had any problems with it and the wood has been in for well over 6 months. I have got rid of it mannually too but it keeps coming back. I wouldn't worry too much if it hasnt caused any problems.

oh thats nice to know. i havent had any problems with it apart from it not looking very nice.

the Sev was from Maidenhead aquatics in oxford. was £9.50. they had greens but the green wasnt very green. lol

i am thinking about replacing the neons with more rummy noses. their amazing in a shoal. some say the sev will eat the tetras but some say they have had success so will hope and see. (fingers crossed)

feeding wise the food that i give them is gone within the minute so dont think its to do with that.
