Not the best picture in the world, but will give you an idea how it looks.

It really makes the plants and fish stand out and gives the impression that the tank is alot deeper than it is. It took alot of effort but I think it was worth it. Thanks to TOH for doing the cutting and fixing it onto the back.

I agree, tanks always look better with backing, or you can plant densely and create a covering of plants, its the bit i dread with a new tank, and other halfs are very useful and even other peoples, i always get bubbles in mine but worth the agro. Your tanks looking very good, cant wait for the other pics, di
 
I love the ram, is it the same one in all the pics, and the green stones, all you need is some of my extra long vallis plants in there - how big is the tank, it looks huge. di

Thanks, the backing was blue one side and black the other, so after trying out the two, black got the vote, it was very thick and was rolled, so it was quite easy to tape to the back. No Bubbles.

There are two, one male one female, he loves to come to the front, so it's probably him in both pictures. The Tank is a 4ft clearseal, it was a freebie from a friend, needed alot of work to get it to this stage.

The male ram, sorry about the quality, It's only a 9mp cheapy camera.
 
He is lovely, ive seriously got to get some, havent seen any around here for ages though.

You are very lucky to get that tank and youve done a good job, do you know what i mean about the vallis, its long tall grass like plant that moves in the water with the current, some would look great in that back corner behind the green stones. Yea you just need some hight. di

There is vallis at the back, just a bit difficult to see at the moment, there are loads off baby plants so they will grow up the back in time. I got my rams from our local Maidenhead aquatics. They get on extremely well with Star4's Ellioti.
 
blinking maidenhead aquatics, they seem to do lots of good quality fish, and there isnt one anywhere near us, ill have to look out for those ellioti, whose star4?

Looks great well done, I am worried I made a huge mistake keeping the arctic white gravel but with a black background it goes well!!
