Using 50/50 on freshwater?

Since my tank is 30 inches I have to get the saltwater version, which comes with 50/50 lights.

My question is, can I simply buy one 6700k light and leave one 50/50 in there? Would the 50/50 give off a blue tint? Has anyone else tried this?

I have a 36" freshwater version of that light, which came with the 6700k bulb.
I ended up putting a 30 watt 50/50 bulb behind it as the 6700k light was just way to green/yellow looking. I added the other light and it looks fine now, still very bright sunlight color, but with a slight blue tint... really makes the fishes colors pop when they swim near the back of the tank under the 50/50 light... do they make a freshwater version of that one? I would reccomend the freshwater one with a small (maybe 10 gallon size)50/50 bulb behind it, just to get the full growth potential out of your CF light

But you will find a night and day difference... my tank looks like it has moonlighting on it with the 30 watt flourescent only on since I am so used to the bright CF on there now.
