Pigs Pigs Everywhere

i love long haired guineas. I used to have rosettes. Not a big fan if your straight haired ones, they look kinda weird lol

hi just for seffie the main sow pen where they have free range to socialise most of them are in or under the hay lol

then on the left is cuthbert my best breeding boar hes a gold/argente coronet

then sally again this time with a face haha

then this is ottis the boar running with louise and mandy all boars with sows are hutched and not in the main herd though they can all see each other and call

next is joleen in her materninty suite with a litter of 2

then a litter of three ottis is the dad i didnt take pics of val the mum shes sulking

lastly the hutch complex i have others to they measure 5ft long and there are 6 hutches

You have some amazing looking piggys there and some fantastic colours, do you show? I seem to remember you rescue as well?

I bet they love that community area, do they live indoors all the time?

I will be showing this year at the moment they can only be entered in the clipped section as i havnt let them grow there coats to the longhaired standard (I cant get to grips with the idea of using bobbles and stuff haha)
bath time is enough of a trauma

all the boars live in hutches apart from mr b who i had neutered three months ago as I could not part with him but didnt want to use him as a working boar anymore he loves his new life ruleing the sows as you can imagine

Your right i find them much more at ease living communaly I will not give or sell anyone just one pig unless they have another or if they want to put it with a rabbit

They all live in one big shed with the hutches along one wall in which the materninty suites are at ground level so the pregnant sows are not to much removed from the rest to minimise stress but they can get a bit of piece when the time comes as the others are nosey little devils
In the summer they all come out in to runs and weed feed and mow my grass if its dry to keep there coats from getting muddy
if it does rain i get wet and pick it for them coz I;m stupid haha

I love love love me some piggies! I am so jealous. Beautiful pigs and they look so happy in their nice spacious shelter.

the "minipig" in the first pic is a chestnut/white sheltie sow
the second is a golden/white sheltie boar in that pic both are 24 hours old but if i where to show you them again in say 6 weeks you wouldnt know they where the same pigs as there coats grow out different

Baby pigs are sooo adorable

Oh my what cute piggys. I miss mine

two baby sows now 3 weeks old growing well got alot of hope on these two cutys
oh if anyone wants a piggy please go to a rescue i do not add to unwanted pets as i rescue myself and never breed unless i can house all babys for at least 7 years if they do not go to other homes
