I saw this little guy while walking the dog yesterday evening. I had my SLR on me and was quite suprised how still he kept. Can anyone identify it? I beleive there is 2 species of lizards of the brithish isles. But which?

I'm pretty sure its a Common Lizard (Lacerta vivipara), The other type is the sand Lizard (Lacerta agilis)

Great Shot btw

awesome shot

i saw a baby adder coming from my moms, i know snakes existed in the BI but never occured to me that lizards do, i always associate them as hot and humid places

I thoght it was a vivipara, but have never seen either in person before so i thought id have a second opinion.
Thanks for the shot comment, it looks really good enlarged if you want the original file.
