if you dont want to use liquid carbon then i wouldnt use any at all. DIY is too much of a hassle, especially when you dont need it.
its ok for nano's. but anythig else it gets to much, and the amount of money you spend on sugar soon mounts up.

alright well im going to the lfs this weekend, and picking up some flourish.
i will also pick up a sword if they have a nice one
so i shouldnt do co2?
i am really up to doing diy
would my filter be a good reactor
would the the diy really help at all?

wow ive looked at the sag and felt the few new leaves i felt coming on them
they arent hard and crispy. the leaves look alot more healthy
i think this means that the sag is getting the appropriate nutrients :good: :good:

if you wan to do DIY CO2 then go ahead, but as your dwarf sag is telling you everything is ok ;) it is extra cost & time consuming keeping it running on a large tank.
you can use our filter as a diffuser/ reactor.

alright so no co2
thanks aaronnorth for that opinion
probably saved me alot of waissted efforts
will put up picks when i get the swords on saturday

new picks of the plants

ok so i have a quick question
i was reading up on algae(not that i have any serious algae problem)
but i do have some green spot algae especially on my anubias
i read up on it and on some sites it said that poor circulation around plants
could be a problem
i only have the ehiem running
but have a powerhead, but its not in the tank
you think i should use it so that the water circulates more?

GSA = poor circulation & low PO4.

more than likley the circulation due to not much PO4 needed because of low light, adding it wont harm anything.

also as you can see in the pics the sword with the big fat leaves
is bleheri right?
but my question is what is the other type?

angels spawned!!!
on the new sword leaf
i also added a powerhead before they spawned to help tank circulation
it moves 160 gallons per hour

male again
