I have now had the lionfish for 4 days and I can not get him to feed, I seen the guy in the shop feed him and am trying the same stuff, lancefish but am having no luck, any ideas anyone?

Thanks
VM

really? thats a long time Buddy, but I will take your word for it, I feel a bit better now, I guess I just have to keep trying, the guy in the shop used his fingers to feed but I am using really long forceps which i think is scaring it.

Ah..they will scare him at first..try finger feeding ..you'll be fine seriously.....my dwarf took about 13 days to get to feed here......

even try teasing him with food and then drop it above him to sink down past his mouth...try it a couple of times and if he shows no interest, simply remove it and try in a few days.....

Remember these bigger guys and morays being like this when I imported them for a couple of weeks, then there was no stopping, or feeding, them,lol....

Hi all, I have rescaped to give the lion a bit more swimming space, so here it is. He still have not taken any food

like the new rock scaping. Hope the lion will eat soon. I've heard of healthy fish not eating for a few weeks so I wouldn't worry yet. Have you tried live shrimp?

hi Kj, I have not tried shrimp yet but i will, so far only tried lancefish and frozen cockels. he is showing a little more interest but still has not taken any yet.

thanks
