What IS this fish!!!???

Hey all,
I've been wondering about this fish for a long time, and could never figuire out what it is. My only thought would be a pristella tetra(Pristella maxillaris)/Red Phantom tetra(Hyphessobrycon sweglesi) cross. Take a look, post your thoughts..

P.S. I got this fish in with a few Red Phantom tetras... He sort of stays away from the 2 other red phantoms. :huh:

Yeah it looks like a serpae to me. Interesting how the black spot on the side is almost perfectly circular though. All the ones I've ever seen its more of a black line than a round spot.

Yeah what's interesting is that my mom has a few x-rays and they have the exact same tricolored dorsal fin, and they all have round black spots! hmmm... :huh:

guppygirl, could you post some more pics of the fish in question? It looks just like a serpae except for the roundness of the body spot and the white at the base of the black on the fin. That deffinately looks Pristellaish. I just want to make sure it's actual white (which is not commonly found in the serpae) and not just the flash playing with us :thumbs:

Deffinately mostly serpae. Could be a mix or just some random deformity, but I would lean towards a mix. Beautiful healthy fish in any respect!
